Rick took a big risk last year by letting something as off-beat as a concrete mixer into the show. He did it because he is genuinely a nice and helpful guy, who wants to see people do well on the internet.
Meeting fun people and sharing thoughts is the center of the social media explosion and BlogWorld brings together the best and the brightest.
Rick has pushed this industry along, just by giving bloggers and social media junkies a central stage.
His blogging conference is like being part of a TV reality show, only it is a “reality-blog”. You attend in person and become a part of the real action. Then, through tweeting, podcasting and doing blog posts like this one, everyone can be a part of the action as it unfolds. The cool thing is that it will be available to watch the re-runs whenever you want.
Today was my first full day as a seminar attendee (last year as an exhibitor, there wasn’t time). I visited with Rick this morning to thank him, and give him a Norman PhartEphant with a T-shirt. It was just a small thanks for his kindness to me and to all of the others who benefit from this great experience we call the social web.
Thank you to Wendy Piersall for the image in Flickr.———————————————————-
